Stationary Battery Installation, Maintenance and Testing Course
Nolan Power Group will be hosting their bi-annual Stationary Battery Installation, Maintenance and Testing Course at their Corporate Office located in Mandeville, LA on January 28-29, 2015. This two day instructor lead course covers stationary battery terminology, lead‐acid and NiCd theory, types of batteries, charging, battery safety, installation design, installation, maintenance and capacity testing. This course also covers the appropriate portions of IEEE standards 450, 484, 1106, 1184, 1187 and 1188.
Upon completion of the course, each participant will be awarded 1.6 CEU’s or 16 PDH’s.

About our Instructor: Technical Service Manager, Mike O’Brien, is the instructor for this course. Mike has more than thirty years of experience in the electrical field and specializes in back‐up power systems. He is a former U.S. Air Force “Master Instructor” and has developed and conducted numerous courses and seminars on Uninterruptible Power Systems, DC Power Systems, and Battery Back‐up Systems. Additionally, he has written numerous Technical papers concerning back‐up power system design, maintenance and testing.
